Stress and Anxiety are a big part of our lives these days. Managing Anxiety and Stress is not something we should be doing, we should be eliminating stress and anxiety from our lives.

There is so much going on in the world today and a person cannot help but be stressed, worried, or anxious. Our forefathers only had to worry about where to get the food for the family and fight off animal life.  Today stress and anxiety are the new fight or flight responses and cause many diseases to occur in our bodies. Physical and mental.

Controlling or managing our panic, anxiety, stress, and worry is a struggle for many, but there are techniques and products (not medication) you can use on a daily basis to keep your stress levels in check.   I have seen over the years with my clients how the daily standard stress levels are increasing.

20 years ago when I would ask my clients where they thought their stress level sat on a daily basis the number was always a 2 or a 3, today when I ask the same question the answers are now 6 – 8.   This is a very high level for daily life and this leads to ‘losing’ it that much quicker.

People get angrier quicker and this applies to young children as well as adults.  Children are more stressed today than ever. The homework, peer pressure, and technology all play a part in a child’s stress.   Unfortunately, this stress, worry, anxiety leads to a larger number of child suicides and drug addiction.

There are about three methods to cope with stress: the alarm phase, the resistance phase, and also stress fatigue.

In the alarm phase, heart rate, blood pressure level, with body energy requires improvement whereas the immune system momentarily weakens. In the resistance phase, the entire body begins adapting while wearing down the stress hormones. It will require a bit of time, which is the reason we have a tendency to feel stressed despite the fact that the stressor has stopped being present. Finally, in stress fatigue, the stressor will remain while body energy levels drop below standard. During this period, the whole body will no longer properly cope with stress, which unfortunately is when you have a greater risk of migraines, gaining weight, cardiovascular disease, and also immune system problems.

Even though you believe that you are well, it is possible to be quite stressed out. You most likely are under stress should there be the following signs and symptoms:

  • Sleep deprivation
  • Moist and sweaty palms
  • Diminished pleasure with projects
  • Becoming easily irritated
  • A prolonged sensation of desperation
  • Cold feet and palms
  • Backaches, headaches, stomach aches, and various other physical discomforts.

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)

What are the benefits of Emotional Freedom Techniques, known as EFT –  so what can it do for you, does it work, why use it?  All very good questions you might ask.

I have been using EFT on myself, my family, and clients for around 18 years, the results always amaze me.  When I first heard of EFT I was skeptical at how it worked so quickly and would it have a lasting effect.  Was it really that good?
